On Her Terms
“Success, to me, means being in the place that’s right for me, completely and with all my might.”
We live in a competitive and demanding society, which requires great inner strength and confidence in order to eliminate the background noise and be true to ourselves. Many of us are not happy with our lives because we compare ourselves to others, but if we focus on what we really want to do and relate to our values without external points of reference, we can guarantee our enjoyment, satisfaction and happiness with work and life in general.
On Her Terms depicts the story of 22 women, each one different, and the unique path their lives followed until they reached the point of full self-realization.

Testimonials
I loved knowing more about people and the meaning of success through this book
Success is not defined by your bank account. This book also shows stories of people who consider themselves successful because they are happy with their lives as they are. From this point of view, as long as one feels fulfilled, this is true success.
Individuality breeds success
On Her Terms reinforces, with every story, that personal choice in seeking and achieving fulfillment is more important than societal pressure. The book is uplifting and a pleasure to read, a big feat when we consider how difficult the decisions we make are in forging our lives and careers within extremely judgmental societies.
Very inspiring
This book has helped to guide me in determining my purpose.
The stories made me realize that it’s ok to be successful on my own terms and not what society regards as success.
If You Are A Woman, You Must Read This
The very beginning of the book was interesting enough to glue me to the rest of the stories.
What do you do? No, no, I mean what is your job! Those two sentences you can hear so many times if you are a woman. Because there are, apparently “real” jobs and “unreal” ones. Those unreal ones usually take the same amount if not even more time and effort, but since they are not accepted as real jobs, they simply don’t count.
If you are a mother, an artist, an intellectual worker of any kind, or you simply have a family and a house to take care of, here you are – you don’t count.
This is a great book for all those women who even once tried to answer the questions above. Full of captivating stories about real women and their dreams and things they do in their lives and are happy with, even if those things are not standard jobs at all.
Highly recommended.
Amazing Read
I first picked up this book as something I could read in my downtime, and I’m glad I did. This book is amazing and I couldn’t put it down. My favorite thing about the book itself is the perspective you get from multiple different women, from different places in life, going different paths but all ending up living lives they are happy about. Where they feel fullfilled.
Also thinking about how society is always judging women under a fine microscope and feeling like yeah, I can relate to that is a feeling that is unifying and comforting. I know I am not alone and that even if I don’t do the common job that people think women should do, I can still be successful in my work and live a happy fulfilled life. This book gave the drive I needed to keep going, even in my funk. I can do this!
Powerful – a must read
What’s the definition of success? This book will show you that success does not have a fixed definition – you can create your own. On Her Terms includes a wide variety of compelling stories about women from different backgrounds, sending the message of empowerment and courage to any woman out there, on her way to achieve success. The author dr. Yael Izaki has an impressive resume, making her the perfect fit to write this book. Unfortunately, we live in a society in which some people need constant reminders that they can still make it, motivating words, extraordinary stories about people just like them. Here, this book serves this goal for women all around the world.
